Co (better known simply as Boden) is a world wide direct retailer of premium
casual apparel. The company got its start in 1991 when Johnnie Boden quit his
job as a stockbroker in London to open up his own clothing business. Designing
its catalogs to resemble those of J. Crew, Boden’s first editions featured friends
and family striking poses as fashion models. The company sells womenswear, menswear,
and children’s clothing through its catalogs, as well as its Web site (60% of
Boden’s customers order online). JP Boden also operates two retail stores in

Boden history

Boden was founded in 1991

It initially launched with just 8 menswear products

In 1994 they launched womenswear

Childrenswear (Mini Boden) followed in 1996

Their UK website launched in April 1999

In 2002 they launched in America

2003 saw the opening of their new, larger warehouse in Leicester

They opened their first shop in Hanger Lane, London in 2004

Baby Boden launched in 2007

2007 also saw the opening of their Walton-on-Thames store

And their launch in Germany

Today they employ over 600 hard working staff

They despatch over 3,000 orders every day from their warehouse
