Gymboree has introduced their latest line of clothing- Shade. Shade is a line for women and includes a range of maternity clothes. Though now branded as a division of Gymboree, Shade is actually anything but new.
Previously, Shade was an independent women’s clothing company known for their modest wear. In 2010, the company announced they were closing their stores and website due to the economic trouble, but were hoping to have a reemergence to the market in 2011. No other details were given by the company at that time.
This is Gymboree’s second trip into the women’s clothing department. Their previous venture Janeville closed it’s doors in 2006, after only 2 years of business. The company said at the time that they wanted to focus on their core- the children’s clothing market.
